I purchased this to split the water line for my RV and a garden hose. I later found the same product at a local retail store. They were identical in every way, but this one was much more affordable, indicating the same manufacturer.
An absolute must,have for any RV owner facing winter conditions , could mean the difference between functioning and frozen pipes.
This splitter works very well. I have two hoses attached: one soaker hose and one regular hose. The valves were initially stiff but smoothed out after a few uses. It operates without leaks. A major plus is the inclusion of extra washers, which were handy for an older hose.
The heating element works and prevents the water line from freezing. However, the connection points are problematic and leak persistently. Despite the leak, water flows through, though it becomes icy near the source.
This is a wonderful piece of equipment for keeping a camper's water line open in winter. It is quite long, so ensure it is connected and powered. Be careful not to drive over it, as this could damage the internal wiring. It has worked well so far; its longterm durability will be seen over the winter.
