Important Information:

➤Carefully read these instructions before installing your Electric Exhaust Cutout System. If you are not qualified or experienced at performing this type of installation, it is highly recommended that you have the Electric Exhaust Cutout System installed by a qualified automotive mechanic or exhaust shop. These instructions contain warnings that must be observed otherwise your vehicle could be rendered unsafe and not street legal. State and Federal regulations concerning Emissions, Noise Levels, and Safety Standards should be checked in your area.

➤Never Install this product in front of the catalytic converters, it is illegal. Never Install the Electric Exhaust Cutout System upstream of any Oxygen Sensors if so equipped. If not adhered to, a check engine light may occur which could alter the emissions.

➤Installation Instructions for Electric Exhaust Cutout:

The Electric Exhaust Cutout System is rated up to 800 degrees for short periods of time. To ensure longevity the electric exhaust cutout should be installed as far away from the headers as possible but no less than 18" from the collectors.

(1) While mounting and installing supplied polished exhaust cut out piping, confirm the "Y" shaped portion of the exhaust flows in the direction as the airflows over and under the car. Mount the pipe in such a manner as to create the most ground clearance possible.

(2) The exhaust cutout is designed to take the place of approximately 9.68" (246mm) of straight pipe in the exhaust system.

(3) Once you have found a suitable location, measure out 9.68" and mark the pipe where you plan to make your cut.

(4) Measure the distance between the two marks again, to ensure accuracy and re - mark if needed. Remember you can only cut once, so measure twice, cut once!

(5) Before making any cuts it is also a good idea to lift the exhaust cutout into place to ensure there is adequate clearance between the cutout and other components.

(6) Using a reciprocating saw or other suitable saw/ tool, cut the exhaustat the marks we made in the previous steps.

(7) File away any burrs or sharp uneven edges on the stock pipes to help create a strong leak - free connection.

(8) Welding the Y - pipe to the exhaust pipe. Please note the angle to ensure that there is ample clearance for the motor and Y - pipe.

(9) Complete the assembly of the valve and downpipe.
